Supervision for Art Therapists
For Therapists Tending to Others (and Themselves)
You’re stepping into this field with a full heart, and likely, a lot of questions. Maybe you’re navigating imposter feelings, ethical dilemmas, or wondering how to truly take care of yourself while showing up fully for your clients. Supervision can be a space where you’re not only learning, but also unlearning. A space to slow down, reflect, and come back to what drew you to this work in the first place.
This is a space where your questions are welcome, your voice matters, and your process is honored.
You don’t have to have it all figured out. In fact, you’re not supposed to. We’ll explore your clinical work together in a way that feels grounding, curious, and connected, centering both the client and the therapist as whole humans. Sessions often include space for response art, self-reflection, and creative practices to help you integrate theory with your lived experience and grow in confidence as a clinician.
What Supervision Can Support
You might be:
• Working toward your ATR or ATR-BC
• Seeking guidance on clinical documentation or case conceptualization
• Exploring your identity and values as a therapist
• Wanting to bring more art into your practice but unsure how
• Looking for a space where you can feel supported and be real
What Our Work Together Looks Like
Supervision is offered 1:1, virtually or in-person for those local to Metro Detroit. We’ll tailor our time to your needs, some sessions may focus on case material, others on professional development, burnout prevention, or the messy intersections of therapist life. There will always be space for art, self-reflection, and the questions that don’t always have easy answers.
You’re not just becoming an art therapist, you already are one. Let’s nurture that part of you, together.
